Return Policy

Return Policy: An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number must be issued by our Accounting Department for all items returned. This RMA number must be marked clearly on the outside of the packaging. Should the item(s) being returned have an Invoice date of six months or more, not be in its original container or packaging, have been altered, have been previously installed or damaged, no credit will be issued. Returns are subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee. Certain exclusions apply.


Warranty

Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. will repair or replace at our option, any DRSA brand product that is defective for the life of that product. Should an exact replacement be unavailable, a product of similar quality and dimensions will be substituted. Certain exclusions apply. See below. In addition, any manufacturer’s warranty available will pass to the purchaser.

Exclusions:
1. All disposable, one-time use products including, but not limited to, fuses, bulbs, lamps and certain non-replaceable, disposable lighting fixtures.
2. All special order, non-stock, one-of-a-kind items.
3. Any product that has not been properly maintained.
4. Any product that has been user modified.
5. Any product that has exceeded the rated capacity specified on the fixture such as the use of a 20-watt bulb in a to-watt rated fixture.
6. Any product that is used in an application for which it is not intended such as the use of an interior fixture in an exterior application.
7. Improperly installed products.
8. Freight costs and any labor costs associated with warranty items.
9. Unpaid for items such as, but not limited to, samples.

Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. products are provided on an “as is” basis. Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. assumes no responsibilities or liabilities for the installation of any product or its proper use. Any problems reported to Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. will be worked upon on a “best effort” basis. Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. does not warrant that all reported problems will be resolved. Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. makes no warranty, expressed or implied, with regard to the on-time delivery, installation or use of any product. All implied Warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby excluded. In no event will Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. be liable for any lost profits, lost savings, or other consequential, special, or indirect damages even, if Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such losses or damages. In any event, Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. liability arising out of any kind of legal claim, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise in connection with the purchase, installation or use of a product will not exceed the product’s unit Price paid by the initial purchaser. Purchaser deems acceptance of this warranty and exclusions by purchasing and accepting products from Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc.

  • Invoice Method
    Upon shipping a customer’s order, DRSA will email invoice to customer.
  • Paying Your Bill
    Please include the invoice number on the check so that payment is posted properly to your account.
    There is a 1.1/2% monthly charge on all past due accounts.
  • Special Orders
    We will gladly accommodate Special Orders for our customers. Special Orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
  • Return Policy
    All returned goods must be accompanied by an RMA# (issued by DRSA) and the original Invoice number of each returned item.
    Please mark the RMA# on the outside of each box. Returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Shipping Options
    We presently use UPS, FedEx, UPS Freight and Yellow Freight. If no preference is declared by a customer, we use UPS Ground.
